Windows Fixes

BSOD & Inaccessible boot device error

  • check RAID or AHCI in bios settings (if RAID, change to AHCI)

Causes ( The most likely)

1. BIOS/UEFI is resetting itself

This is the #1 cause when it happens repeatedly.

Common triggers:

  • Dead or weak CMOS battery (CR2032)very common

  • Power loss / unplugged PSU

  • Laptop main battery disconnects

  • BIOS update or failed BIOS save

When that happens:

  • BIOS loses saved settings

  • Reverts to OEM defaults = RAID

  • Windows boots → INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

That’s why:

  • You fix it (set AHCI)

  • It works for a while

  • Then suddenly breaks again

2. Fast Boot / Modern Standby firmware bug

Some systems:

  • Re-apply OEM defaults during “deep sleep”

  • Especially Dell / HP laptops

So after:

  • Sleep

  • Hibernate

  • Battery drain

→ RAID gets re-enabled.

3. You didn’t enable AHCI driver properly

If Windows wasn’t fully prepared:

  • It may boot sometimes

  • Then fail after updates or power cycles

But this alone does NOT flip BIOS settings, so this is secondary.

Type Bitlocker password whenever restart or shutdown everytime

  • Fix by enabling or activating TPM in BIOS.
